We are talking about Auxílio Pé de Meia, a program that arrived to encourage young people to stay in school and guarantee a better future.

If you are a father, mother, guardian or high school student, read on to understand who is entitled, how the benefit works and how to receive it correctly.
The Auxílio Pé de Meia is a benefit created by the Federal Government with the aim of reducing school dropouts and encouraging the entry of young people into higher education or the qualified job market.
It works as a type of school savings account: the student accumulates funds throughout their high school years, and this money can be redeemed later, when they complete their studies.
To access Pé de Meia, you must:
✅ Be enrolled in public high school;
✅ Be between 14 and 24 years old;
✅ Be a member of a family registered in CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs);
✅ Have good school attendance and not fail the school year.
Important: the student does not need to request the benefit directly. The transfer is done automatically based on information sent by schools and cross-referencing with CadÚnico.
The total amount can reach up to R$ 9,200 at the end of high school, divided as follows:
📌 R$ 200 per month of school attendance, during the 10 academic months of the year;
📌 R$ 1,000 at the end of each year, if the student completes successfully;
📌 R$ 200 bonus for participating in ENEM in the 3rd year.
In other words, the more the student dedicates himself, the greater the accumulated value will be at the end of the school cycle.
The value of the Next Allowance is deposited into a digital account automatically opened in the student’s name by Caixa Econômica Federal. The withdrawal is released in two situations:
🔸 Part of the amounts can be transferred during the school year;
🔸 The larger amount, which is “saved”, can only be withdrawn at the end of high school, with approval.

The answer is no. The program is automatic and uses data from the School Census and CadÚnico. Therefore, it is essential that the family has an updated Cadastro Único and that the student maintains their enrollment and regular attendance.

In addition, the program helps combat child labor and encourages the construction of a future with more opportunities.
1. Are elementary school children also entitled?
No. The program is exclusively for high school students from public schools.
2. Do EJA (Youth and Adult Education) students receive it?
Yes, as long as they meet the age and registration criteria in CadÚnico.
3. Can I withdraw the amount at any time?
No. Part of the amount remains available, but the majority can only be redeemed after completing high school.
4. Is the aid amount considered income for other social programs?
According to the government, it will not be considered income for Bolsa Família or other benefits.
