After learning how to make the famous love strawberry, as I taught in the previous article, I decided to take it seriously and see where this idea could take me.

I was unemployed, with accumulated debts and a huge desire to get my hands dirty. What happened surprised me.

With a simple strategy and organization, I made R$1,700 in just 7 days selling strawberries of love. And now I’m going to show you the way so you can do it too.

My Initial Planning

Before selling, I drew up a plan with 3 pillars:

  1. Beautiful and quality product
  2. Right sales channels
  3. Strategic advertising and word of mouth

These three points were the basis of my result.

Step 1: Smart Production

I bought it:

I spent around R$145 in total, which yielded 250 love strawberries, some of which were sold individually and some in gift boxes.

Average cost per unit: R$ 0.58 (that’s right!)

Step 2: Creating Kits and Pricing

Divide the sweets into:

The kits made all the difference. In addition to increasing the average ticket, they gave an air of professionalism that delights the eye.

Step 3: Where and How I Sold

This was the most powerful part of the strategy.

  1. Neighborhood and city WhatsApp groups
    • I created a text with a photo and an eye-catching caption:
“Sweet affection in the shape of a strawberry ❤️ Place your order and surprise your loved ones!”
  2. Instagram
    • I created a simple profile and posted well-lit photos of the kits. I used short Stories and Reels with loud music.
  3. Partnerships with snack bars
    • I took some samples in a pretty box to coffee shops and bakeries in the neighborhood.
    • Three agreed to resell with a 30% commission.
  4. Word of mouth
    • My daughter’s family, friends and schoolmates started nominating.
    • Whoever referred would get 1 free strawberry on their next purchase.

Final Result

Total billed: R$ 1,770
Total expenses: R$ 145 (raw material) + R$ 50 (deliveries and extra packaging)
Estimated net profit: R$ 1,575

It was one of the most rewarding moments of my life. In one week, with just over R$200 invested, I achieved a return of more than one thousand and five hundred reais, in an honest, homemade and passionate way.

Lessons I Learned

  1. Whoever shows, sells: The photos and videos were fundamental.
  2. Agility in delivery counts a lot: Customers who received it quickly bought again.
  3. Don’t underestimate commemorative dates: Most sales happened due to Valentine’s Day.
  4. Service is everything: Treating people with care and responding with attention brought me referrals and loyalty.

How You Can Do It Too

You can adapt this plan according to your reality:

The important thing is to start.

And the most powerful thing of all is: you can do this in any city in Brazil.

What if I want to turn this into a regular business?

If you are thinking about formalizing, creating a name, creating a menu and turning it into a real business — the next article is for you.

Conclusion

If you’ve come this far, it’s because you also believe you can transform a simple idea into something great. The strawberry of love is more than just a sweet: it is a symbol of affection and also a real tool for generating income, paying bills and making dreams come true.

I managed to earn R$ 1,700 in 7 days, even without previous experience in sales or professional confectionery. All I did was organize, work hard and believe.
